For certain types of employers, a work permit has to be obtained first before the non-immigrant B visa. As a foreigner applying for a work visa, you need to have all the following educational and employment documents:
University diploma or any similar educational certificate
University transcript of records
Certificate of Employment and Clearance
from the applicant’s previous employer clearing the applicant of any liability and/or showing proof of prior employment records; work permit application might require certificates of earlier employers, depending on the applicant’s work history
Resume with outlining a clear timeline of the applicant’s employment history
Passport with at least 6 months’ validity and two, full, blank pages
Passport photos
